Abstract

The research question of this research is “What are the perceptions of 10th grade students regarding the developed online reading materials through Schoology?” This research aims to find out students’ perception toward the online reading materials through Schoology. The method that used was non-experimental research because the purpose was only to find out students’ perception rather giving them treatment. The writer used quantitative and qualitative approach. The writer collected the data with questionnaire and interview. There were two kinds of questionnaires and interviews, those were pre-condition and post condition questionnaire and interview. The number of the participants were 40 students. The writer analyze the interview based on the benefit, effect and attitude. The result of the study was online reading material gave positive benefit, effect and attitude only for some of the students. Suggestion for the English teachers is the teachers can utilize Schoology for learning English to make the English lesson become more fun. For the future research, they can provide tutorial for the students and should watching over the students to make sure that they do the material on the Schoology.
