Abstract

This research aims to find out students’ perception towards the developed online listening materials using Schoology. The subjects of this study were the tenth-grade students of Private Senior High School in Surabaya. The total of the participants were 40 students. The type of the research used in this study is classified into non-experimental descriptive. The method used survey with quantitative and qualitative approach. The instruments were questionnaire and interview. The research was done in three steps. First, the researcher did observations and distributing pre-condition questionnaires and conducts interviews. Second, the researcher implements the online listening material to students through Schoology. Last, the researcher distributed post-condition questionnaires to the students to gain some feedback related to the materials and Schoology and also conducted post-condition interviews. The result of the study showed that the implementation of developed online listening material using Schoology gave positive benefit, effect and attitude for some of the students. After students used Schoology as medium learning, they were motivated to learn more about English and they want to open their dictionary when they did not know the meaning of the words.
