Abstract

PT. Mustafamesindo Batam Flour Mills merupakan perusahaan penghasil tepung terigu di Indonesia yang memulai usahanya pada tahun 2011 di Tangerang, Jawa Barat dan kemudian pindah ke Batam pada awal tahun 2016. Struktur organisasi yang digunakan oleh perusahaan ini adalah organisasi lini dan staf. Perusahaan ini mengimpor biji gandum dari beberapa negara seperti Kanada, Amerika Serikat, Turki, Rusia dan Australia. Perusahaan ini mengolah biji gandum menjadi tepung terigu dengan kapasitas 12 ton/hari. Proses pengolahan biji gandum ini menghasilkan produk utama berupa tepung terigu dan produk samping berupa pollard dan industrial flour. Biji gandum sebagai bahan baku dibersihkan dari debu, kerikil, kutu dan gandum yang rusak terlebih dahulu sebelum diproses kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penggilingan biji gandum. Endosperm biji gandum digiling bertahap dengan beberapa roller mill dan diayak sampai diperoleh produk tepung terigu dengan ukuran <180 μm. Pengendalian mutu dilakukan mulai dari bahan baku, proses, produk akhir, hingga penyimpanan atau penggudangan produk. Produk tepung yang dihasilkan dipasarkan di Kepulauan Riau dan negara tetangga seperti Singapura dan Malaysia.
