Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of our nation's economy pillar. In this present moment of economic crisis, good entrepreneurs can help provide jobs, earning profit to feed other people. But just entrepreneurs without good management and strategies will soon reach its end of bancruptcy. This reality brought up the idea of this tesis. Like other entreprises, the first thing must be considered is the market. There's no use of making so many plans if nobody will buy the product. To analize the market, we use marketing research and conduct it at Galaxi Mall, Surabaya, since January 21st till January 27th 2002, after 06.00 pm. The marketing research utilize close-ended multiple category questionnaires, with 400 respondents. Non-probabilistic convenience sampling is used to collect samples, while descriptive statistic is used for analyzing the data. The result of marketing research is used to determine marketing strategies. These strategies including selling, pricing, advertising, and product. To test the feasibility of this plan, economical analysis was conducted such as payback period, break even analysis, internal rate of return and return on investment. The results of the analysis were: payback period 2 years 3 months, break even point 3 years 2 months, IRR 25,74% and ROI 36,17%.
