Organizing is one of the problems that the students mostly face when writing. The purpose of this study is to describe the organization, coherence and unity of the English Education Department students’ journals. The finding also showed that the students tend to use grammatical cohesion (64,3%) rather than lexical cohesion (35,7%) in order to achieve coherence. Lastly, the journals written by Writing B students were mostly unified (91%) because they wrote topic sentence that related with the supporting sentences.
