Abstract

Penghentian prematur atas prosedur audit adalah tindakan yang dilakukan oleh auditor tidak melakukan atau mengabaikan satu atau beberapa prosedur audit yang diperlukan, namun auditor mendokumentasikan semua prosedur audit dengan tepat. Faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi tindakan ini salah satunya adalah tindakan supervisi dan external locus of control. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh tindakan supervisi dan external locus of control terhadap penghentian prematur atas prosedur audit. Objek penelitian ini adalah auditor di KAP Surabaya dengan sampel 57 responden dengan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah convenience sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindakan supervisi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap penghentian prematur atas prosedur audit. Sementara external locus of control berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap penghentian prematur atas prosedur audit
