Abstract
PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills merupakan perusahaan penghasil tepung terkemuka di Indonesia yang memulai usahanya di Surabaya sejak tahun 1972. Perusahaan ini mengolah biji gandum menjadi tepung terigu dengan kapasitas 2.950 ton/hari yang terbagi menjadi beberapa mill. Proses pengolahan biji gandum ini menghasilkan produk utama berupa tepung terigu dan produk samping berupa bran, pollard, germ, industrial flour, dan pellet. Biji gandum sebagai bahan baku dibersihkan dari debu, kerikil, kutu, dan gandum yang rusak terlebih dahulu sebelum diproses kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penggilingan biji gandum. Endosperm biji gandum digiling bertahap dengan beberapa roller mill dan diayak sampai diperoleh produk tepung terigu dengan ukuran <180 μm. Produk tepung yang dihasilkan meliputi beberapa jenis, seperti terigu protein tinggi “Cakra Kembar”, terigu protein sedang “Segitiga Biru”, dan terigu protein rendah “Kunci Biru”, serta beberapa merek lain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen. PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills juga memproduksi tepung khusus yang ditujukan untuk ekspor atau industri pangan tertentu di dalam negeri.
