Abstract

PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur. Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Jakarta merupakan perusahaan yang mengolah biji gandum menjadi tepung terigu. Perusahaan ini telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1970 dan terletak di daerah pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara. Letak pabrik yang dekat dengan pelabuhan mempermudah penerimaan dan pembongkaran bahan baku yang masih diimpor. Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam proses pengolahan tepung terigu, merupakan biji gandum yang diperoleh dari negara penghasil biji gandum, seperti Amerika, Kanada, Australia, Ukraina, dan India. Proses pengolahan biji gandum menjadi tepung terigu dimulai dari penerimaan dan penyimpanan biji gandum di silo, cleaning, conditioning, milling, pengemasan dan penyimpanan produk jadi. PT. ISM. Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Jakarta, menerapkan sanitasi dan pengawasan mutu mulai dari bahan baku hingga produk akhir untuk menjaga kualitas tepung terigu yang dihasilkan. Tepung terigu Bogasari dibedakan berdasarkan kadar proteinnya menjadi tepung terigu berprotein tinggi, sedang hingga rendah. Produk tepung terigu yang umum dikenal oleh konsumen adalah merek “Cakra Kembar”, “Segitiga Biru”, “Kunci Biru”, dan “Lencana Merah”. PT. ISM. Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Jakarta juga memproduksi tepung terigu untuk keperluan ekspor atau industri pangan tertentu di dalam negeri. Hasil samping dari proses milling, diolah lebih lanjut menjadi pakan ternak. Limbah yang dihasilkan oleh PT. ISM. Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Jakarta, terdiri dari limbah padat (organik dan anorganik), limbah cair, dan limbah B3 (Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun). Limbah padat akan dipisahkan berdasarkan jenisnya dan dibuang ke tempat pembuangan akhir, sedangkan limbah cair seperti air buangan toilet, akan diolah secara biologis di Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL). Limbah B3 akan dipisahkan dari jenis limbah lain dan diambil atas izin dari pemerintah.
