Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the students’ perceptions on presentation skill taught in debate. The type of this research was descriptive research. The respondents of this research were the second semester students of English Department in a private university. The writer collected the data using questionnaires and interviews. In general, the results of this research showed that the students’ perceptions on presentation skill in debate were positive. However, it was identified that some students felt anxious when giving presentations. The writer also found that there was a respondent who had special characteristics or was skeptical of filling out the questionnaire and this is suggested to be studied further.
