Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai uji efek stimulan ekstrak daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix DC.) pada mencit putih jantan. Mencit yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mencit jantan sehat dengan berat 20-30 gram sebanyak 25 ekor dibagi menjadi lima kelompok. Masing-masing terdiri dari lima ekor mencit. Kelompok pertama sebagai kontrol negatif hanya diberikan PGA 3% dengan volume pemberian 0,2 ml, ekstrak daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix DC.) diberikan pada kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis 1,0 g/kgBB, 1,5 g/kgBB, dan 2,0 g/kgBB mencit, dengan volume pemberian 0,2 ml. Kelompok kontrol positif diberikan kafein 15,6 mg dalam PGA 3% dengan volume pemberian 0,2 ml. pengujian efek stimulan sistem saraf pusat pada mencit ini menggunakan metode hole board, metode evasi box, metode rotarod, metode activity cage. Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan anava menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix DC.) pada semua dosis mempunyai efek stimulan serta ada hubungan antara peningkatan dosis ekstrak daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix DC.) dengan peningkatan efek stimulan.
