Abstract

Abstract In general, students of junior high school tend to be reluctant to learn to speak in English. They do not feel free and enjoy. They also feel shy to speak in English. It may be caused by the fact that the teaching learning activities are not fun and boring for them. They also feel that learning English is difficult and they are afraid of making mistakes. To cope with such a problem, the writer recommends the use of jigsaw in motivating junior high school students in learning speaking so the students will have more courage to speak up without afraid of making mistakes.
