Abstract

PT. ISM Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya merupakan perusahaan proses pengolahan biji gandum menjadi tepung terigu. Perusahaan yang telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1972 ini berlokasi di Tanjung Perak, Surabaya dan memiliki kapasitas produksi sekitar 5.900 ton/hari. Bahan baku yang digunakan pada proses pengolahan tepung terigu yaitu biji gandum yang diperoleh dari Negara seperti Amerika, Kanada, Australia, Ukraina, Cina, dan India. Proses pembuatan tepung terigu meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu penerimaan dan penyimpanan biji gandum, pembersihan I, conditioning, pembersihan II, penggilingan dan pengemasan. Upaya untuk mengontrol kualitas produk yang dihasilkan adalah dengan menerapkan sanitasi yang baik terhadap bahan baku, ruang produksi, lingkungan pabrik, peralatan dan mesin serta pekerjanya. Perusahaan ini juga menerapkan pengendalian mutu mulai dari penerimaan bahan baku, saat dan setelah proses produksi, pengemasan serta kondisi penyimpanan bahan baku maupun produk juga dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas produk. Produk utama yang dihasilkan PT.ISM Tbk. Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya adalah adalah tepung terigu dengan berbagai merek seperti “Cakra Kembar”, “Cakra Kembar Emas”, “Elang”, “Kunci Biru”, “Segitiga Biru”, “Segitiga Hijau”, dan “Lencana Merah” dan hasil sampingnya berupa bran, pollard, pellet, germ dan Industrial Flour (IF).
